Saved by my laser shifter!

So I bought and installed a ZR4 shifter back in December but hadnt had any encounter with the law...until this morning. I was doing ~ 75-80 on a freeway section that is 55 limit. I always drive that route so know there are never any cops. However, I am cruising along and my shifter started beeping - I braked immediately and then took me a few seconds to find the cop pointing the laser gun at me. I am getting closer to him and he kept pointing the gun at me. I am wondering if he's going to come after me, I pass by and then I see him through my rear view mirror pointing the gun at me! (at that point i had turned off the shifter and was doing 55 or so). Net, I can report it works.

We've installed many SRX systems (detector + shifters) and the customers are all really happy. They can easily be defeated apparently by an officer with up to date training on the newer guns. The new guns will fire as quick as they can pull the trigger. The shifters block the first volley, then shut down.

A good friend of mine is actually a traffic officer, he has been cleared to bring the latest and greatest unit to me to run some tests. I just need to get a car with the kit equipped!! For peace of mind really, I don't like selling things I can't stand behind 100%. Guess I'll never be a car salesman!

It took the dealer 3-4 hrs to install but they had done some really major work on my engine so he only charged me $150. I personally havent messed with any of the electronics but shouldnt be too hard for someone that knows what they are doing.

It is made by Escort. I have it linked to the 9500 detector so pretty clean install - all you see is the 9500 detector.

Good thing this cop wasnt trained! When I saw him pointing the gun at me AFTER I had passed him, I knew it had worked. By the way, my understanding is that the shifter keeps shifting UNTIL you press the button twice to shut it down so I am guessing it works more than just once. I tell you this guy must have tried at least twice.
