Is this a good deal?

Just finalized a deal for a 2003 Silver/Blue X50 Tip with PCCBs, nav, supple leather, aluminum package for $45,000. Has 28,500 miles and dealer to include new tires (we settled on Sumitomos) and 30k service in the price.

Dealer is Steve Harris Imports in Salt Lake City. Seems to be a Ferrari/Maserati dealer. Anybody know this dealer? All done through email and salesperson was very pleasant to work with as we were going back and forth with the negotiation.

PPI to be done - I should be contacted by the local Porshce dealer today/tomorrow.

Sight unseen? Never driven?

You should know that there is no such thing as "an official Porsche PPI"...every dealer can make up their own, and virtually ALL do not include dumping the DME to look for faults, codes, overrevs...

Lots to find via Search

Assuming it is clean, that's a great deal. I have an 04 Tip convertible (X50) and paid about 10K more than that in December. That was a great deal then!

No, I haven't driven it and its killing me. Its probably money well spent to get a plane ticket to SLC to close the deal but it may be difficult to find the time.

tscales-
Yea I've seen the prices as I have been looking since December. Its a sad sight to see the prices coming down but if its any consolation I think they have probably hit bottom and may be inching up. Many sellers have similar TTs that would rather keep the car than sell below $50k.

I will probably do a search on this forum for PPI posts to make sure the Porsche dealer covers everything important. Great source of info!

Sounds like an insane deal!

I have been looking for 6 months. the only other X50 I have found that low had over 65000miles on it.

Sounds like a good deal, make sure the PCCB's are in good condition, I heard they are very expensive to replace.
