Talking Pic Request: Black Twists on seal grey

I tried doing a search in the 996TT section and 996C4S with No luck...

Curbed my stock turbo twists over the weekend (don't ask)...so now is more of a reason to get them painted or powder coated...

I know it's kind of "played out" but was thinking either matte black, semi-gloss black or gloss black. eventually when i get sick i'll get some aftermarket wheels.

Anyone have any advice and/or pics? not sure what's better either Paint or powdercoat? i've heard pros and cons for both. Also i occasionally use the car in the winter with snow tires so if one is better for all season please let me know..

Thanks guys/gals!

Alec

funny you mention that I was thinking the same thing. but not sure if gloss or matte is best. I am leaning towards matte. But I did see one with gloss a while back and it looked pretty good

The satin is in between flat and polished. Not glossy, but you don't see all the scratches either like flat. It can be surface scratched, but not chipped or peeled. If not satin, I would go glossy before flat anyday...

Yup, these are just my track wheels, If I ever powdercoat my HRE centers, I will do the centers gloss black.

My car is Artic Silver and I have also been considering going to black on my twists before I jump into after market wheels. Don't know what I want yet. What are the advantages or disadvantages of painting/clear coating vs powder coating as far as wear? I have arguments both sides.

though it looks nice on your car, I think I prefer the contrast of the black with the seal gray. I guess it is just personal taste. Out of all, the gloss black seems to look the best, or at least the pics do.
