question for owners w/ mashaw gt2 decklid & wing

anyone adjust the rear wing blade for more pitch? I would like the back end of my blade to be slightly higher.. just wondering best way to do this..

thanks

yeah, i've done it before on mine. it looks MUCH more aggressive and better IMO
but i have no clue how my bodyshop did this though, Robert @ Final Touch did it for me

There are 4 6mm studs glassed into the wing. take the wing off and stack some small washers on the back 2 studs. How many will be determined by how much thread you have left when you start to reassemble. the total amount of thread protruding on the studs varied from one to the next. Mine took 3 and looked nice.

photos?

Wing is now in storage and the washers are no longer in it. I tried to build a larger adjustable section on all 4 studs with right and left-hand threads like a turnbuckle to give more adjustment (down in front and up in rear) but after building the turnbuckle bodies and assembling it, I felt it would not be safe at very high speeds. I opted for a GT3 RSR cup-style wing. Now I have plenty of adjustment.

I have the same question! How do I adjust the wing blade? Picture instruction would be helpful.

MA Shaw wing is not built that way. Your picture is a Porsche OEM setup.

is Mashaw tail wider and taller than oem?

Al Norton 06-30-2009 11:02 AM

I think it is a direct knock-off with the exception of the OEM mechanism for adjusting angle of attack.

Has anyone called Bill and asked him?

boca996tt 07-01-2009 08:03 AM

I spoke with ma shaw and they said that its done by using washers, BUT they dont suggest you do it... they say the wing is at the proper pitch and it should not need to be repitched..

boca996tt, can you post a side pic of your wing sitting on your car? Instead sitting flat, mine sits lower in the back!!!
