You shouldn't need to. There are places to bolt the lap belts to the seat. For the sub you can buy a sub-strap bar (either from your Porsche dealer or Gert at Carnewal sells them--or used to anyway). B-K also sells a sub-strap bar/extinguisher mount combination bar, that is quite a bit more expensive.

What I've done is have clip on ends on my lap belts. Put an eyebolt in place of the stock bolt that secures the 3 point stock belt, and clip to that. For the tunnel side lap belt, I installed one of B-K's tunnel mount clips for the 996.

There's really no need to drill any holes in the seats or the brackets, however.

Mike, I'm sure you must have seen my red GT-3 at Silver Star. The GT-3 seats have provison for attaching the lap belts directly to the seat. The submarine belts are fastend to the submarine bar. You need to order them, you can get the at Silver Star.

Indeed, no drilling. Shoulder belts attach to roll/harness bar, lapbelts attach to seat sides, crotch belts attach to sub-bar.

GT3Scott has it right. No need to drill, just get sub harness bracket. You also have to get a separate botling kit. You can't use the stock eyelets. Make sure you get the right diameter to fit on the belt mounting bolts.

I used the BK R-9003 for the outside and used the bolt where the belt is mounted (had to point it towards the door sill since I have the roll bar and it would hit the seat pointed the other way).

For the tunnel side make sure you get the short mount, R-9004, (the other is too long). It bolts to the seat where the buckle is if you remove the spacer that is there.
