How do I do a pressure test on a stock 996tt?
How do I do a pressure test on a stock 996tt?
So, lately I've been experiancing some strance symptoms and I'm thinking they might be related.
No CEL lights. The car seems to accelerate fine and i get a consistant .6-.7 bar depending on air temperature.
However, I've noticed that the idle is somewhat jerky and when I let off the gas even after just touching the throttle i've been hear this very quiet noise going "dee dee dee". It's not loud at all and I had to turn the radio off to figure out it's there. Seems to be coming from the engine compartment.
So, my initial thought on the idle was that I should do the pressure test to make sure that everything is holding up boost/vacum to eliminate unmetered air antering the system at idle. So, how do I go about it on a stock 996tt?

I looked at it before but it seems like that rig is for a blowthrough MAF setup. I need to find out how to do a stock TT.
Exact same fitting and procedure, just remove your airbox and install the fitting in the intake pipe, where the airbox was.
