Actually Ruf did run the blue 590 at Nardo (hence the nickname Nardo). They ran 362.88 kph or 224 mph.

i realize they did run previously but not at this Continental V-Max 2 Tire shootout specifically. i really wish they came cause then they'd battle it out with the GT-Street and 9ff one.

here's a vid of the Lorinser GS-03 which ran 190mph at Nardo that day. this video is not of the actual run at Nardo, but is the same car. it's ugly but dang fast. that tester looks better than the car. i also have a video of the Hartge H50, again not the actual run at the Continental challenge at Nardo, but of the same car. it's a Blown 5-liter with some crazy nice lope and sounds incredible with the blower it really is so uncharacteristic of BMW sounds like a classic muscle-car!

Yeah I knew that, but I wanted to see Ruf kick 9ff's ***. I'll take an R Turbo over 9FF any day.

Hey, slightly off topic, but will you guys do Ruf conversion work in Dallas as well? Like, for instance, putting the IRC into my car??? I don't really like the idea of having to ship my car overseas.

I'd like to see any of these cars go up against Ruf-Racer in the Nevada open road races.

Amir,

I'm unclear as to the existence of a fresh-air scoop in the hood of a stock TT. Or, I'm just not certain what scoop you're talking about.

Sorry, I don't have any further pics. However, the Sept. '04 issue of Excellence has an article on the Nardo test and then a drive report of the 9ff car with pics

There should be a small CF mirror on the driver's side, but I can't tell if its on in the pic here. There is also a very subtle change to the ducktail part of the rear spoiler compared to stock.

You can see how the rear bumper was modified if you look at the rear of CJV's car.

We are still discussing the IRC with Ruf. At this point in time they want it done in Germany. The future will only tell.
