Looks GREAT!!!!!! Let's see what they look like up close turned off so we can see the housing and bulbs. What did you use to house the LED's?

Ill have to take some more, I wasn't planning to take pix at all but had the camera in the parking structure in mid day. Thanks for the compliments so far! They are housed in a clear plastic shell, during daylight they are not noticeable as far as being a very think blinker light i guess..?

I am not in love with the rims but I love the new lights.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I know the wheels arent for everyone, different people, different likes. Ill try to get some more pics for you guys of them in the daylight. I actually tried to fit them to the stock bumper as best as I could. I also tried not to damage the stock grills in the turbo bumper, I was able to mount them with no drilling or damage to the grill and only a tiny hole in the air duct to do the wiring for the lights. I am currently working on a oem switch in the horseshoe that will let them be independant. |
Hey scott, these are awesome. Please PM me with the details. I want to do exactly that. I have a 996 C2 but with the OEM turbo bumper so installation should be the same. In fact, i don't have the ducts. Please let me know where and what you got. I will wire mine to the side markers, So I don't even need the switch.
Thanks again! Looks cool! joel |
Hey joel, mine is wired to the sidemarkers at the moment. I was thinking of doing the OE switch to just have it on by itself when I wanted it. Send me a PM to discuss

Here are 2 shots from the morning. One is with the running lights on during the day to show how bright it gets and one is during completely off.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...6/IMG_0427.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...6/IMG_0439.jpg The lens can be smoked/tinted to be hidden away or you can cut a tiny bit into the stock turbo grill to recess the lights further back. Let me know what you guys think |
They look great .. . did you buy them in the clear, or did you fabricate the clear plastic mount?
thanks, |
tvurt, They came clear and the mount is a separate system to hold it in place. Like i said it looks like a thin signal light when off, not really drawing attention until its turned on
|
very cool where did you buy the components to make the final product?.. or is this something you are making to sell?
