Performance Data on PUMP TUNE
A while back I started a thread about performance on pump gas tune.https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-pump-gas.html
The point of this was to compare apples to apples. The Stock cars being compared to in the 1/4mile 60-130 sticky thread were all run on pump gas. In the thread above Markski brought up good points about being safe by running race gas. What I meant was not that you can't throw in some race fuel, just that your 'Tune, flash, file" whatever you want to call it, should be your regular pump gas tune with a several gallons of race fuel thrown in for good measure. Pump tune is a tune based off of a std 93 octane or less. in many places 91 is all you can get. Oh well, that is my problem, so my tune is for 91, but it is still a pump tune, like what a supercar comes with. Enzo's, CarreraGT's, Veyrons comes with pump tunes. to compare your car on a race file with race gas to them is really irrelevant, since that is basically no different than running Nitrous or WI. What can your car do on pump tune with no AIDs that run out if you happen to be 200 miles from home...lol So I extrapolated all the stock car numbers from Diveextreme's sticky. I took iout all of the board cars not knowing what they had for fuel as no one talks. So if you got performance data on pump gas how does it compare to these cars. 1/4 mile E.T.'s/Trap Speeds: 10.20 @ 142.0 - Veyron 10.80 @ 135.0 - Enzo 11.11 @ 138.0 - McLaren 11.22 @ 127.1 - C6 Z06 11.50 @ 130.04 - Powell- 996tt on pump tune 11.60 @ 121.1 - 997TT Tip 11.42 @ 126.5 - MB SLR McLaren 11.81 @ 124.0 - Murci LP640 60 -130 mph (96.5-209.2 kph): 5.52 - Divexxtreme - 996tt on pump tune 5.6 - Bugatti Veyron 5.73 - Divexxtreme Supercharged ZO6 on pump gas 6.1 - Saleen S7 Twin Turbo 6.32 - Skandalis447 - 996tt pump tune 6.61 - TTboost - 996tt on pump gas tune 6.9 - Mosler MT900S 7.0 - Ferrari Enzo 7.01 - Seal Grey Matte - 996tt pump tune 7.24 - Mercedes SLR McLaren 7.25 - Stock 997 GT2 / 1 shift 7.3 - Porsche Carrera GT 7.3 - Ferrari Enzo 7.85 - Acicchelli / Stock LP640 / 2 shifts 7.86 - Divexxtreme / Stock C6 Z06 / 2-shifts 9.4 - Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 9.5 - Porsche 997TT 9.6 - Ferrari F50 10.13- Acicchelli / Stock F430 / 3 shifts 10.3 - BMW M6, stock, 2 shifts 10.4- E60 M5, stock, 2 shifts 10.93- Acicchelli / Stock Mercedes E63 / Auto 10.9 - Nissan GT-R 11.0 - Shelby GT500, stock, 2-shifts 11.7 - Ferrari Challenge Stradale[/quote] 11.81- HoustonT / Stock Lexus IS-F / Sequential 13.77- Acicchelli / Bentley GTC / Auto 14.39- Acicchelli / Stock Mercedes ML63 / Auto I edited the list and put the pump gas numbers in for everyone that responded. All cars in red are non P-cars. Easier to pick out the P-cars. |
I did my run on premium pump gas...which is equal to 94-95oct for USA...(Mark knows better)...6,32sec with one shift...

thanks, excellent, that is what I mean. That is more directly comparable to the supercars shown above.
it will be interesting to see if there is any car here that can best the Veyron from 60-130 on equal pump gas terms. |
7.01 on 100% 93 octane. I've never had race fuel in my car.
EDIT: To be clear: no water injection, meth injection, nitrous, pixie dust, etc. Just plain old Mobil 1 93 Octane and the setup in my sig line. Full weight also. |
this is the kind of data that matters on a day to day basis. those numbers are excellent on pump gas.

In the summer heat (you can see people in shorts in the videos) I went a 11.509 @ 130.04mph (http://www.vobra.org/vids/porsche130.wmv) with my old GT3071/K24's and my original tune. The max boost the car saw was 17.1psi and that was the "spike" because sustained usually it was about 16psi. This was my pump gas setup.

The best I have done so far is 6.73 on 91 Octane at 6200' Alt.
|
Powell, that is a great trap speed on pump.
Chris, for 6200ft that is excellent. |
Great thread! most useful data IMHO. I will post my best 93 oct numbers soon.
|
Just to clarify...this is pump gas WITHOUT water/meth. You water/meth guys don't count.:D
My best in my P-car on 93 was 5.52 (perfect conditions, perfect run). My best so far in my Z06 is 5.73 (hot, humid)..but I "think" the car is good for low 5's. Bone stock it went 7.86. |

Well I thought that on your new thread we already decided that WI is a race tunehilarious incredible times for both cars by the way.... |

I sent one earlier this year and from I heard it was *just* over the 2 or 3% rule. I'll have my car back in a week or so and should have stronger numbers ;-)
