Proper tire sizing? Newb content ITT.

Sooo I just ordered wheels for the 996.

The sizes are 18x9F and 18x11.5R.

What size tires do you recommend using? I'm only using the car for street purposes and the occasional drag strip run. would a 245/295 combo be ok? Or would I need to go wider in the rear? Thanks in advance, and also sorry in advance if this has been covered before.

Soul is infamous around these parts
I'm using 235/315 with the exact same setup as yours. Not sure if 245 will fit without rubbing on unmodded fender liners.. it's already pretty tight. 295 was a little stretched on 11.5 for me.

Just be sure that whatever you choose, the tire diameters front and rear are the same. Otherwise, you will damage the diff for AWD. This has been covered in many threads - try searching this forum.
