Anyone have Do it Yourself instructions on replacing plugs?
My 2001 turbo came with the "5" heat range plugs which i believe are fouled. I had it at the dealer and they let it idle fo about an hour, which finished off the plugs. It runs good at full throttle in second but in third it cuts out at about 4000 rpm.
A simple list of any parts that have to be removed would be helpful. The shop manual shows removing the rear bumper/spoiler, center heat shield, and "charge air cooler" (whatever that is). This does not seem necessary(?)

 

Not that it helps except for bumping this to the top again...but on the 993tt there were holes in the wheel wells, so if you pulled tires you could get to some of the plugs. Though I would say it required magnets, duct tape, snap-on tools, and a whole day of good Karma.
