Gather round lads an ladies for another tale of life in Houst...um Mexico.
Alas, I have no vid only my humble narrative skills.
Was minding my own business the other day, obeying al posted speed limit laws while tooling along the feeder of the Mexico 59. Suddenly I spotted a fox body Musang 5.0 in my rear view mirror with a ginourmous hood scoop indicating a supercharged engine. The driver was waving wildly at me. Being the gracious and polite chap that I am I did a U turn under the highway and allowed him to pull aside me. However he gunned it and raced to the stoplight: Clearly the metaphorical guantlet was thrown down.

I pulled up to him and asked "how much is that sweet ride putting down, my good man?" He replied "493 at the wheels." "Wow" I said, "thats a lot... care to run her, there is a nice empty stretch of newly paved road up ahead and very little traffic [it was siesta time in Mexico
] "
"You're on", he replied. We were soon cruisng at 80 and he took off before I even made my 3 honks. By the top of 4th I passed him and had 3 lengths be the time we shut down. The next run started at 70 and this time I ran from the meat of my powerband in 3rd, putting 5 lengths on him by the time I was in 5th. I must say he was quite the sportsman giving me the thumbs up.
The final run was pretty much the same...however at the top of 4th I heard a "pop" and suddenly my warning lights stating a loss of coolant flashed. My temp guage started to rise and I pulled off onto the feeder.
Not wanting to risk engine damage I shut her down. It was 100 degrees in Mexico that day with brutal humidity. Fortunately, Akram came to my rescue w/ in 40 minutes just as I was about to succumb to the heat (I had no water) and trailered my car to his shop. A huge props to Akram; his enclosed trailer and capable skills really saved my ***.
The car blew the right rear coolant hose but fortunately there was no other damage.
BTW, I was on pump and running 1.1 bars which mean I was makng around 540 whp.

Does Paulie know about this...?

Too bad the pesky little stock Z wasn't around to help brighten your fun day on the Mexican toll way...

... not the Foxbody!
