Best tune for 996 GT2 ?
SWR,
Have you seen the special Vivid is running on Softronic right now? It's a killer deal until the end of July I believe.

I agree with you about Kevin and Tony but EPL looses in my books, only because of the go to a dealer or mail order part. Softronic support pulled through and answered ALL my detailed questions and were flexible to my requests/wants. I like to be able to flip to different programs when I want without assistance. Such as stock - 93 octane etc.
Honestly i am just waiting for the next forum special from one of my chosen 2.
Hint Hint! Perhaps we can get a small group buy?

I'm completely happy with my service and support from Protomotive. As I'm sure there are other's on here who will say the same thing about their tuner of choice.
Think about what you intend to do with your car. Are you only going for a flash, dv and an exhaust? Or do you intend to build a monster, step by step? Is this going to be it or are you, like the rest of us, going to be tweaking and changing things down the road. There are several highly respected and capabale tuners out here. Find someone that's highly recommended, that you can get on the phone in a reasonable amount of time and doesn't get frustrated when you ask them to explain whatever it is you don't understand to you. The most important item is for you to do your research. Talk with these tuners and other people who have used their services. Good luck.

This is one decission I got right straight up. I went UMW. I am located in Australia and the tune is and had to be spot on with the ability to change between maps at anytime. Being so far away support was my issue as every car is different every tune has to be worked on IMO, no 2 cars are the same. Kevin has spent countless hours chating via email and phone, designing maps/reading datalog files etc just for my setup/fuel requirements and this speaks volumes in my book. Now for some bigger turbos...
No! What is it?

IMHO my decision is purely price now. I think we should get someone to do a group buy. There are at least 5 of us now on the edge here.
