Spark plug torque

Location Thread Tightening torque Nm (ftlb.)
Screws for ignition coils M6 10 (7.5)
Screws for shield M6 10 (7.5)
New spark plug 30 + 3 (22 + 2)
Old spark plug 25 + 3 (19 + 2)

Can someone please tell us why the manual uses the above format? I'll torque my plugs to 22 ft lbs, but what is + 2?

slvr99M3 is infamous around these parts
Spark plug torque

Don't be to concerned with the (+2), but I myself have been working on P cars for many years now and tightening them to the slightly tighter than snug has been working out well. Just tighten to the torque spec given for the spark plugs and it will pass.
