Yeah, so why add metal floor mats?

25k hard track miles = 250k easy highway miles?

Track cars are great...as long as it is YOURS.

Afterdark is infamous around these parts
Scott I am looking to purchase this vehicle however it is an auction so feel free to jump in if the price is right for you. I have my cut off point for this vehicle. Good luck and who ever gets the vehicle will at least add it to the 6speed online family.

It's very common for people to use aluminum floor mats at the track because you pick up oil and all kinds of fluids onto your shoes when in the pits and walking around. Obviously you don't want that stuff on your carpet. Also, the diamond plating is good so your foot doesn't slip, just ask Tom about that one, I'm positive that's why he chose diamond plate aluminum in his as well. I'm sure this guy did it on both sides because he probably did DE's where he had an instructor. But I do agree with you, track miles are very hard on a car.

I wonder what the winning bid went for. I'd love to see what suspension was on the car also. There's a lot about this car that really intrigues me. I'd love to hear a breakdown of what's on the car. Congrats to whoever got it, and if it didn't sell, please let me know so I can possibly get in on it the next time around!

i doubt any dealer will try to sell that car on their lot due to all the frame damage and appearance of track time. Unless you know the previous owner personally, there are too many question marks. There are so many cars that go through manheim, there is no reason to take a risk unless you get it for super cheap or know someone who is looking for that exact setup and you can flip it to him without much risk.
