23.5 mpg road trip (10 l/100 km)
6.7 mpg short technical racetrack (35l/100km)
7.8-8 mpg long momentum track (Mosport) (26-30l/100lm)

15.3 mpg (15.4l/100km) average this year, including racetrack. I do quite a bit of downtown driving, but also fair share of roadtrips. I don't commute though.

For reference, I use to get 17.7 mpg combined average with my E46 M3

Over half a year I got 19.1 mpg average at an average speed of 41mph. Lately I have been doing mostly highway driving on the long trip out to see family, way more fun than city driving. So we'll see if that average changes.

Changed plugs and coils just a couple tanks of gas ago, and I'd say I got a 10-15% bump in fuel economy. Like one of the posters above, at 65 mph cruise control in 6th gear on flat land (with 185lb me, 120lb passenger, 30lb dog, and luggage), I was getting 28 or so. But, I always destroy that when I encounter a winding hill....it's too hard not to enjoy the car!

It's funny but my DD is a diesel Jetta. I only do short trips in it as work is close by but the mileage on the highway is sick. I fill that thing once a MONTH! I am really **** about how much goes in and how many miles I get out of it - I am almost always pushing 400s and on the highway can get to just about 500miles on a tank. So, when I drive the 996 I am always depressed by how often I fill the thing up - the benchmark is just not possible to come close to! So, the 996 doesn't get monitored at all. Sure, I see the little mileage meter but I've got bigger injectors and don't trust it. I've figured out the mileage on the car once or twice but with such a small tank even getting high mileage it would seem low. Sadly where I probably get best mileage is where I drone loudest

The car makes power, I keep my foot in it constantly when I do drive it, and so I pay for it at the pump. That folks are doing so well on the highway in cars that run so well is nice to see. That guys who have flashes seem to do almost as well as those who don't is also nice - it should be possible to have both even with larger injectors. In fact when I did my own tuning I always tuned real lean for highway to bump mileage - it's usually possible to beat the sticker if you tune lean like that and ignore emissions. Nice to see everyone mostly in the same ballpark but on this car I just want the pleasure so I am ignoring the MPG as best I can!

If your car is flashed or has upgraded injectors, the computer milage can be way off. The only way to be certain is an actual tank vs. milage test.

I saw 28mpg average on road trips, It's a 370 mile drive to cars and coffee. Both my boys claim they never get over 9mpg, must be the difference in driving style...

Why would flashing knock it out of whack? the computer is measuring injector pulses and miles driven - unless you monkey with fuel pressure, injector sizing, or overall tire height it should remain as accurate as it ever was...

I saw 30mpg at 80mph cruise controlled trip from SC to NJ. On daily bases I see roughly 20mpg and that's with boost all the time lol.

I know with injectors it is off for sure and I seem to recall when I was just flashed my milage went up on the computer, but did not actually improve. It has been so long I am not certain about the flash only, though...All I am saying is I would double check if flashed

15 - 16 mpg, the longest run is to the airport about 20miles, office 8 miles. only 60% highway and alas it lasts too short . Rarely go to redline, occasionally brake hard. But if the highways are open I open her up.
