Hi, i am new to this and fairly new to owning a Porsche, i drove my friends 2001 turbo and was very impressed. can you give me some advise on buying, and should i import from the US rather than buying in Canada. I would appreciate any advice

use the search function, there is a ton of info on this forum, spend some time reading and you will become very educated very quickly

most important advise i can give is to get a ppi done and be very picky, its a buyers market right now

look out for 2nd gear pop out issue, other than that they are great cars.

 

UK published 911 & Porsche World has run several 996 Turbo buyers guide articles. Get the most recent back issue with one and read up.

USA published Excellence runs buyers guides too as does another UK published car mag: GT and Purely Porsche. Oh, Total911 another.
