Best Software for CEL codes

I have thrown a couple of check engine light (CEL) codes with my stage 4 system and am wondering if any of the OBDII software programs can download them all. Any suggestions?

Thanks guys.

Does it show all the codes? Can you reset the CEL? Ease of use, etc?

I leave for the mouse's house Saturday Stephen.

I can erase any/all errors... it does show the codes... had a decoder for the common OBDII faults, but the the Porsche specifics... those would have to refer to a Porsche manual or have someone look it up, which is often the case with these non-Porsche specific loggers.

Mouse House... LOL... if you're coming downtown anytime, give me a buzz... you're more than welcome to check out the datalogger. We'll do some logs. Otherwise, have a great trip to the Mouse House, and we'll catch up upon your return.

I was wondering how effective these devices are. Ross-Tech makes a product called VAG-COM for Audis/VWs and my tech said that it might be a good idea. For a person with limited knowledge, is there really much that can be accomplished? Or is it just worth it for diagnosis reasons?

I use an Autoxray OBDII Scanner. It reads codes and clears the CEL. Its a stand alone product, as opposed to the software products that require a Palm or Laptop. It was reasonably priced and easily acquired at Autozone.
