Sunday AM
Sunday AM
A few of us met for breakfast and then took a ride down to a car gathering that takes place every Sunday morning at the old OBI off Ocean parkway. At least a hundred cars, mostly American and a pair of 360 SP, GT-40 replica, Cobra's, tons of Vettes and some wickedly modified cars. The funniest of all was a mid-80's Jaguar XJS that was converted into a 1/4 mile dragster named "Draguar". Wheelie bars, 2-foot wide slicks and a monster blower coming out of the engine bay. I recommend any one interested in cars check this out if you are in the area.
What are you guys doing next Sunday? A couple of us are driving down to AC on Saturday and staying over into Sunday, so if it isn't too far out of the way, i might be able to swing by. E-mail me the details and a contact phone # at DrJimM5@aol.com Here's a gorgeous Viper owned by one of our extended posse. If Max posts his pictures on the M5 board, I'll bring the link over here.
To see some cool OBI pictures and video go to: www.fototime.com and click guest sign-in. Under whose e-mail address you want to view, put (bluemax_5@yahoo.com). Make sure you look at OBI pics and OBI video under the albums.
here's a copy of the post from the M5 Message Board featuring the meet: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...threadid=35232
For this comming weekend I'll probaly do both the AC run on Sunday and the New Hope venture on Sunday. This is largely dependant on the timing of my wife's delivery of our girl-to-be.
