I presume you're not an NSX fan. It's fun and tracks well. I'm well aware that it's an entirely different type of vehicle than his original suggestions, but I figured I would throw it out there. It's not exactly luxurious, but I'd still have to consider it "mad pimp."

E55 or Range Rover. the CL...for the 500 03-04 is nice but lacks the power of the current 55, and the 01-02 55 is somewhat obsolete as the current CL of the same W215 generation eclipses it greatly. the Hummer H2 is a soccer-mom car to some (i think it looks kinda tough) and seems impractical. friend has an 03 G55 AMG and it's bumpy ride and seems kinda narrow, though it does sound great. as with the CL55 you are considering, the G55 non-supercharged one will have bad resale value.

i hear the Range Rover is very comfortable, rides and works great. since it's bulit off of the proven X5 4.4i platform it can't be bad. i really like BMW's quality and their motors and transmissions are butter smooth. plus the range is elegant and luxurious and prestigious. the E55 is very fast family sedan which is making quite a buzz these days. it's proven to be very quick in the straight line and it's quite luxiorus as well. the E also looks great

No, although the new one looks better. I've known a couple guys with 'em and I just don't like them much. Does have a bit of a pimp feel if properly modified.

In all seriousness, I would probably lean towards the Range from the above options. It has a masculine stance and Rover heritage. Benz's have unquestioned sex appeal, but they just don't do it for me. However, what do you think about a couple year old Aston Martin? I'm not sure on the reliabilty and value, but it's difficult to top the exclusivity and beauty of an AM. DB7s can be found for around $80k.

I would say, E55. E55 is a very good daily drive and has the performance, you allready have a SUV so 2 maybe a bit overdone. Just my opinion.

edit: I see you are selling the CTT, what a shame...

If you're gonna put 20-22" rims on either of the SUVs you mentioned ... please no. If you don't offroad, there's no point in even considering a G (except for the social status crap). Same goes for the H2 ... just don't get one.

Range Rover does it all with ease and style ... but again, if you don't offroad, you'd be wasting a lot of car.

Basically, among the cars you mentioned and assuming you only drive on the road, I'd go for a CL55. Nice V8, superb styling IMO.

If you offroad, no hesitation, G55 with All Terrain BF Goodrich tires on 16" steel rims and a 12000lbs winch up front!! Close second is the Range Rover, a better overall car.

For 80 grand, you're touching Ferrari 456 territory ... hard to beat the styling, the italian V12 and 4 seats for the price. Not sure you'd be able to park at your dealership, though!

Maserati GT is a good car with a splendid engine too ...

thanks for the responses guys! I wasnt expecting this much traffic, but it really helps.

I looked into some #'s and residuals, and I think my smartest move would be either a 2002-2004 G500, a 2003-2004 E55, or a 2002-2003 CL500. I think the H2 takes a huge hit, as would the N/A CL55 and G55. So It has been officially narrowed down to A G500, a CL500, Cayenne TT again, or the E55 (unless we trade in a nice 456 or maserati, aston... my only issues with those is reliability. But who knows. I will keep you all informed and if anyone knows of a good car for sale that is in that list above, let me know! THanks!!!!
