Power Seat Question

New member here within the past few months.

Great board with lots of good information.

A few weeks ago I found a great tt cabrio I am very happy with.

I found a 2004 Turbo cab with only 4300 miles on it. Worked the sale through a dealer and was even able to extend the factory warranty on it and have it Porsche certified.

I have been able to figure most of the questions I have from doing some searches but have one issue I can not seem to find any information on.

When I unlock my car after it sits for a while the driver seat goes all the way back and takes it out of position. Now I have programmed my seat memory button so I just have to hold it till the seat goes back into position.

But is there a way to stop the chair from moving out of position so I do not have to press and hold the memory button every time I get in and out of the car?

Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

Need to take some pics and post if you guys want to see. Very happy and would like to share the new edition.

There is a M and Key button. Just move the seat to the position that you want, put in reverse gear (memorize the mirrors too), hold the M button and push one of the # button to set memory. You should have two color coded keys, put the key you want to program in the ign., put in reverse gear, hold the M button and press the Key button at the same time.

Whenever you use that key to unlock, the seat will go to the memorized position for that key.

Thanks for the tip MY996TT. Can not believe I missed that little key button staring me in the face!!!

But only have one key. The car did not come with two, the dealer is getting me a new one so I will have two soon.

Those keys are very expensive. Key + labor can easily be $300-400. Enjoy your new ride.
