LOL
Actually, I disagree. The Gt2 market is a very niche market especially being that there are such a small number of cars out there and their buyers usually are well-informed and do their homework. With all these threads that I see about how cheap a gt2 went for (i have seen 2 or 3 other than yours in the last 3 months where a GT2 "sold" for far less than market value). It is very easy for them to get misled and come up with a value for a car that would only be appropriate for a car with "history". Threads like this really do jam up those of us that have clean GT2s that are asking fair market value for a clean car. Be a doll and change the title please.

they dont hurt nothing also i agree with Txgold. if thats the case then the same applies with the rest of the 996 TT. when peopel post they got their cars for 39k or 40 k ... does the same to the other person that is looking to sell their car.
Two things, I guess.
One, a buyer should understand that there are additional costs involved that should be accounted for, besides the actual price at auction. (Auction fees, shipping, dealer insurance, dealer overhead, opportunity cost of "being a car dealer" and not doing something else, ... ) Expecting to pay the exact auction price, as a private individual, is just stupid. Try to call up Sony and get the same price that Best Buy pays for a TV. (Or even the price that a local Authorized Dealer buys for.)
Second, a market is a market. You don't have to sell a car for anything less than you wish. If new information causes other sellers to lower their asking prices, you can get upset with the other sellers. If all buyers want a lower price, but sellers keep their offer levels, eventually the buyers will have to increase their bids to buy a car. By definition, lots of cars can't sell for "far less than the market value." Wherever the cars sell, that's the market value.

Closing thread, this is a shouting match.
But, for reference, I think the idea of not discussing a marketplace or posting good deals to "protect" anyone is a ridiculous concept that is flawed in both theory and practice.
