Fuel Pressure Regulator Upgrade Question

Gonna inject some inexpensive safety margin to my setup, and crank up the fuel line pressure up a tad... any suggestions/experience to share?

What's the stock fpr regulate the pressure at?

I'm looking into the GT3 RS fpr (same as Porsche Motorsport?) per a friend's suggestion... I believe it's a 5 BAR regulator.

What's involved in swapping out the regulator?

Thanks,
Stephen

It seems like raising the fuel pressure would require a total remapping of the ECU, including ALL the part throttle and cruise settings.

As Kevin said, we usually have a good amount of these instock. We require them on our Level 4 kit (which is 575BHP) so if you are anywhere near or over that it is a good idea!! Like Kevin said its cheap insurance. Also as Kevin said, it is a ***** to install, but our tech gets um done in 10-15 mins.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

ebaker:
Yes, I think the mapping will be a little off, but no so much so that the automatic closed-loop learning of the ECU will be out of it's range.

In other words, once the fuel pressure is raised slightly, the ECU will simply adjust the injector pulses down to shoot for the pre-set A/F ratio. This is usually how it works.

Any thoughts?
