Another boost question thread

I'll add my own boost question thread to the ones that have come up recently.

New to me 02 stock 996TT, no X50. I hadn't been pushing it fully yet and so noticed max boost in the city and local highways of 0.4-0.6 in the first few weeks with brief accel runs. I hadn't kept my foot in it for any sustained time as I'm still learning about my car.

Last week, one night when it was a bit cooler than during the day, I briefly saw 0.9 Bar in 2nd gear in a max accel run. I did that twice because I couldn't believe it the first time. It's supposed to be stock; pretty sure no ECU flash on the car. I wrote it off to a spike since it wasn't a sustained 0.9 and I read that I should try to sustain WOT in 3rd gear to see what the "real" full boost would be.

Fast forward to yesterday night and I went out on the highway and this time, I kept my foot in it in 2nd to redline and 3rd gear sort of near red line. Got up to about 90mph. I only saw 0.6 bar throughout the various runs.

Just wondering if people can comment on this (wide?) fluctuation in max boost.

As a note, during those 2 runs that briefly indicated 0.9, the car did feel stronger than it did last night. Is there something wrong with my car that would cause such inconsistency? Or is this variance in max boost from day to day actually "normal"?

If you get that spike right when you are shifting this might help.
