60-130 Event - Saturday September 19, 2009
Dude
I think BBi will have a 1,2,3 podium finish at the mile? They seem to be building some very good STREET cars that are actually driven. Also, I can not wait to see those underground beasts! This mile is going to be a blast! I hope everyone plays it safe and not let egos cause any harm. As far as the 60 to 130... this is my favorite event!
Cheers

Rob, on another note, have you ever run Ben's Supra? He just posted it for sale and he and I have talked a bit about the car. I think Ben's car is a LOW 4 second 60-130 car on a perfect pass...

Matt/Chris,
I should have clarified. What I meant was I haven't seen a daily driver Vette run a sub 7 at on of our events. AtomicZ is it. Of course racecars can do it.

Oh yeah and we unbolt the cut outs, because his stock Z06 exhaust can only handle so much. When he lets out you'll see a flame shoot out from under the car when he sprays, that would DESTROY his stock exhaust if it did that.Basically all I'm getting at is Matt's is a 100% street car that has track duties also. It has full A/C, Powersteering, stereo, etc. It just fools people because when you see it on the track it's got slicks and open exhaust, but when we leave its just like any other Corvette with a small lope
Much love Matt. If I saw that Vette on the street, I would drop a load in my pants.Matt's car should run a 6.x on motor also on a good pass. When we drove it to and from the track on 93 Octane it's gone a best of a 10.5 @ 128mph and a best mph on a 10.6 @ 132mph. It's got about 50 more rwhp then it did before. His cam is so small it could be ran in a stock cube motor. The compression is about 10.5:1 (stock LS6). His car is a 100% street car, but he never drives it because he loves his SRT8 and it fits more than 2 people (unless you want to roll three deep with two in the front and one in the trunk LOL). The day he went a 5.2 we drove the car to the track and back home. The only thing we do is swap the tires when we get to the track because 19" Fikse Profil 5s don't hook so well

I have nitto555rIIs so I don't know if that was a problem last time out, but I was skating a little bit during the runs. Maybe I need some drag radials?
Also, any vette guy will tell you the hydraulics are junk, esp. with a modded car with a lot of power. I was having a terrible time on the 3-4 shift, so this could have increased my ET a little bit, but who knows. I now have an adjustable master which hopefully will cure the problem.
FYI the car is a 440 cubic inch stoker making 575/540 n/a. (When I ran the 8.2 it had 550/520.)
I have no idea what the car should run in the 60-130 with this hp and tq in 100 degree weather.
See you guys there and hopefully it will be a be a little cooler this time.
I spoke to Rob and he is indeed coming to the event. I have a feeling we might see a low-mid 4....then again Bob Helms is bringing his TT Viper as well, rumor has it he will be running 16 psi of boost. When he ran his 4.2 he was only at 11-12 psi.

Rob, see what you can do...Tim has been wanting to come out for the longest time but has had scheduling conflicts...he's another contender for the low 4 second range. It's about time my 4.51 gets shattered!
See you soon...
Peter
p.s. will you email me login information on that other issue we discussed?
