Flash - the real world...
My cousin has stock turbo - 420bhp. My car is XP-50, flashed to 1.2bar with Cargraphics exhaust. We went for a spin in the two cars and I must say as we gunned it (he was behind me) I thought I would pull away much more than I did. It did not appear I have 100bhp or so more than him. I pulled away alright, (80-190mph) but only by about 100 metres and that was slowly car length by car length. He started 50 yards behind me so I am wondering if he was hitchin a free vacuum ride but I am guessing he was too far for slipstreaming. Or was he? Any, thoughts...
The higher the speed, the power needed to overcome wind resistance climbs
higher than the speed does. That's why it takes so much more power to
make a big top speed change than to get a better 0-60 (not considering
traction issues). So challenge your cousin to a second-gear roll-on and
you'll probably show a bigger win distance.
