Has the dash been modified?

My search continues. I came across this 2002 so far from my house. (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...dpage=thumbnot

The center console looks different than others I have sat in. Is the trim surrounding the radio normal?

Quite a bit of wear on that steering wheel and it looks like it had an aftermarket NAV unit put in and removed - Not a fan of the random painted dash pieces either, how did it look in person?

That looks like the standard ac surround piece, just the wrong color.

The car drove ok, but the interior is rough. All leather surfaces were worn. For a car with ~55K miles it looked as though the owner lived in it. The carpet was actually clean and not worn, but the leather was, well, tired. The radio did not work because it needed the code (i.e. locked). Everything else worked (from the rear spoiler to the lights). But the price didn't fit the interior.

Definately sounds like there was an aftermarket NAV unit installed and taken back out when he/she sold the car.
