Comments on this 996 TT - be gentle
Make sure it was certified prior to this sale. I am not sure about Porsche, but if a car had previously been certified, the dealer doesn't go through the same process.
Is it a Porsche CPO, or something else? For some reason I thought 6 years was the longest the CPO warranty could go...
DO NOT rely on the 'certified' process by the dealer to protect you. An indy inspection is always recommended.

The dealer has sold the car numerous times over the years. A 'older' gentleman (regular customer) with multiple Porsches traded it in on a 2008 C4S. The carfax confirms he had the car for two years. The MSRP was $147K.
They did a complete inspection for the CPO and faxed me the 13 pages. The car required $3000. worth of 'stuff' (rear tires, radio fix, glove box, alignment, fog lights, etc.) to bring it up to P specs. I asked about buying it without the CPO (as I wanted get a longer Fidelity warranty cause I want to keep the car a long time) and they said they would knock the $2k off the price. However the higher miles (48K) on the car makes other warranties very pricey ($5-7K) so I'm staying with the 2 year CPO at this point. There are a few CPO 996 TT's on the PUSA site.
Only nervous part is I'm buying my first P-car sight unseen. Impossible for me to go to RI anytime soon. Ah well, I'm fantasizing about seeing and hearing it the first time coming off the transport. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...lies/smile.gif

Congrats! I like the whole thing including the white wheels.
Just add some 15mm spacers all around, lower it on some coil overs, chip, Diverter valves, injectors, bigger turbos... Never mind
