Is it stock? Usually they make a "honking" sound when they go bad.

My stock unit literally blew apart with stock K24s..

Mine kinda of sounded like a high pitched fart when I let off the gas. They were Champion DV's, however I'd imagine they'd sound similar to stock ones.
