I was wondering what those of you with 600+ HP cars do about the speedo on your cars. With 600 HP plus, you can obviously break 200 mph; some of you can hit 220 or 230 mph. Have any of you replaced your stock speedo that only reads to 200 mph with one that reads to 220 mph or more? If so, where did you get the replacement speedo. Or, alternatively, can the existing speedo be recalibrated and have the face replaced with one that has a higher mph limit printed on it?

Just wondering, do you go over 200 that much, where this is necessary??? If you know you want to try for the magic 200, take a P-box with you???

 

I have seen modified European Porsches with 350 and 400 Kmh speedos and was curious if we can get similar ones in non-metric... Or is there a retrofit from a present generation GT2 that reads to 225 mph (I think) that could fit the 996 generation cars.. Just curious...

Nah.... the surface on market street isn't conducive to high speed runs, the trolley tracks cause a significant loss of traction... I was thinking more along the lines of Van Ness....

Maybe Castro...lets ask Paulie, he is very knowledgeable about that area. I hear he broke 200 one time when he was late for the NAMBLA parade.
