Is the KWV3's 1.2 inch lower from GT2 height, X73 or turbo height?.
The information I provided was given to me directly by Bilstein so I'm assuming it's accurate. That is the max lowering for a standard 996turbo with PSS10's. I will double check the accuracy with them and report back.

The KW lowering information is also in reference to stock 996 turbo height. Again, info was provided by KW directly.

The ClubSports are a far more aggressive setup then the V3's. They come with much more aggressive spring rates and shock valving which may be too harsh for daily use, for most people. For street and occasional track use I'd stick with standard V3's. If you have a dedicated track car, the ClubSports are a great option.

Don't forget, Clubsports are not stainless steel. The V3' are. I have V3's and post a trip to Germany and visiting KW, I can tell you that KW is far ahead of its competition

maybe so, but I can tell you that I had two certified porsche mechanics install my 10's and they set them up and we had lots of room to lower the car with no issues and I at GT2 height +- 2-4mm, in fact I will probably lower the front another 4-5mm or so. Another person here is in the same boat as myself and mikelly who has pss9's is as well.

I'm not discrediting any of your experience with the PSS10's. As a vendor however, I'd prefer to stick with the specs given to me by the manufacturer to cover all the bases. Real world experiences are definitely good to know, and defintely a value to other forum members, but I think it's only fair for me quote info that I can verify.

Mikell's PSS9's have been re-valved and re-sprung by Bilstein.

can you post the specs, I have not seen the specs?

also, are the "KWV3's 1.2 inch lower" from GT2 height, X73 or turbo height? or what reference point is being used?

just found this on another site:

BILSTEIN B16® PSS10
With the BILSTEIN B16 PSS10 suspension kit BILSTEIN engineers have created an entirely new level of performance. Based on the mono-tube/inverted technology, the BILSTEIN B16 PSS10 meets the highest standards.
This system features threaded body ride height adjustability. Additionally, this system allows for variable damping rate adjustment. 10 characteristic curves, determined in road tests, precisely define the shock absorber’s damping power in both rebound and compression cycles. Once installed, these settings are easily changed by turning the aluminium adjuster, providing perfect handling performance for every situation.
Product advantages at a glance:

• Mono-tube/inverted technology
• Developed in road trials
• Lowers the vehicle 30mm
• Threaded body allows additional 20mm of adjustment

• Height can be adjusted with system installed
• 10-stage rebound/compression damping rate adjustment
• TÜV-certificate

Funny thing is that, it is exactly what I have down to the mm. 30mm drop is GT2 height, and there is an additional 20mm you can drop it.

nvno1 is on a distinguished road
Thanks for all the input! Thers a lot of great info in this thread. I spoke with Tom at Rennsport who was very helpful and gave me a great price on the KWs. I've heard that the Bilstein kit is a very clean install and appears as though it came with car from the factory. I've also heard that some of the other coils overs make creaking and klunking noises where as the Bilsteins don't. Again this is going to be a street car 99.9% of the time and my main goal is to lower it and get rid of the front end float. I also don't want any issues with noises or having to modify anything on the car to complete the install.

The specs were given to me by technicians at Bilstein and KW verbally over the phone while doing some research for nvno. I'll check to see if they have this info printed somewhere.

The specs were in reference to standar turbo height.

I was told by Bilstein directly that the range of lowering for PSS10 for the 996 Turbo was -15mm to -35mm for the fronts, and -0 to -20mm for the rears. Again, these are the specs for their kit for a standard 996 Turbo. I was also told that they don't make a separate kit for the GT2.

With all due respect, I would be a little suspect of the source of the info you posted. Not sure where it was posted, but the specs don't match what Bilstein told me. Also, the 10 way adjustment on the PSS10 is for rebound, not compression. Again, verbally confirmed to me by Bilstein directly.

Fortunately the numbers I sourced match exactly what I have. So I do trust them. Like I said, I think your rep may have the numbers wrong. I have the manual that came with them so I will check it when I get back, but I am guessing that there is another set of B16's that may not have this adjustment. Who knows. All I know is that mine go as low and lower than GT2 safely.

here, and I have at least 20mm of downward adjustment to go. I will take a pic of the adjustment when I get home if I can see it.

18's, I prefer to stay with 18's.

here is the other thread, and Terminator has the exact setup as I do and can go to about 20-25mm below it. I wonder if there are two different types of pss10's being sold? maybe a euro style and an american style.
