info on GT3 reclineable replica seats
These seats were purchased via Maxspeed. My guess is the frame and shell are manufactured in Taiwan, may be wrapped there as well or locally. Overall reasonable quality versus price on visual inspection. The plastic hoops feel a bit flimsy to touch but look OK. I imagine the standard pcs are more solid.
As far as rigidity goes, the shell and hinges appear to be of similar quality as other major branded non FIA seats but Im no expert. Safety versus stock seat in a crash situation, my guess is similar as long as the seat/buckle attachements are solid.
Nothing would beat an OEM/FIA bucket. I've seen a recently rolled and totalled GT3 RS, the roof was smashed in below head level ("A" pillar crushed), but the seat stayed in place, acting sort of like a roll cage.
The MS bucket version are offered with full install instructions. Reclineable require a hands on approach.
The seats come with sliders attached to the seat via side brackets like a bucket seat foward side, rear side the side bracket is integrated with the seat back hinge mechanism. I bought the floor brackets from MS, stainless steal but don't have the 2 per rail cylindrical fixings that fits to grooves (seen these in alternative makers, not sure how relevant).
Cross brace needs to be made, mine's pictured below. 0.5cm thickness, stainless steal to match the floor brackets. Floor brackets from MS photo attached.
When I asked about the seatbelt the reply was to remove the plastic side cover and attach to the bolt. I only see one bolt and it doesn't look safe. My email enquirey was not returned.
I think the seat belt buckle should be attached and part of the floor rail structure (same system as OEM seat).
On first instpection, my solution is to modify the 2 bolts (which are welded fixed) on the floor bracket and swap for longer, more robust units. Then, a L bracket fabbed to fit to the modified floor rail (2 fortified bolts), and buckle fixed to the L bracket.
Hope this post helps iron out any issues for others considering to do same. Experts please chime in if there's a better approach (other than getting OEM
).

people think that "if the belts hold I'll be ok"...there is only one problem with that thinking...what happens when the rear end hits first..the belts won't help you there and you will want a seat that won't collapse and put you into whatever is behind you (usually roll bar or cage)...JMHO
I was sent a replica GT3 seat to use, when my OEM GT3 seats were on backorder. Half way through the install, I witnessed enough that I didn't trust the seat and I knew I didn't want to drive around with them. I tested them on a short drive, just to see how I would like a GT3 seat and then promptly removed them. When the OEM product arrived, it was a confidence inspiring installation. A world of difference in all aspects of quality, fit and finish. I was left with great piece of mind. I feel one should be very careful with something as important as a seat and seat belt decision.

That said, I wonder about any non-FIA aftermarket seat.
Having second thoughts but only other solution for a seat that fits like a bucket is FIA non-reclineable buckets.
