Hello All!
As i have recently purchased my first 996TT i was looking for a good place to get some good information exchange on these cars. I can see from reading a few of the threads that i have found just such a place.
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to all you guys and thanks for your input and expertise........................Gman

 

Consider yourself lucky if you ever own a car build by Manthey or RS tuning. Their cars are built for endurance racing with massive power band that are completely applicable.

 

We do not have the ability to run our cars at 180 mph in the US on public highways. Our cars are built for quick bursts in 3rs and 4tth gear. Sure the European tuners spend a lot more time inside the motor to prevent the thing from blowing up due to heat... but here in the states we don't use the cars that way- unless you track regularly.
So meanwhile the Euro tuners make Enduro type cars I prefer my car built by Todd K that still has yet to be beaten in the 60 to 130 mph and the 100 to 200 Km.
Nothing to take away form the euro tuners... I just dont drive my car at 180 mph for 10 minutes so I dont care about the extra engineering.

Jean knows the guys at Manthey, and his car was dynoed there.
I believe you are misunderstanding what he said. RS Tuning is considered the pinnacle
of Porsche Tuning in Europe by the Europeans. Jean mentions RS Tuning and Manthey
in the same sentance which means they are (in his opinion) the best of the best.
