Joe,

Were you driving a Porsche or a John Deere?

The Godfather of the MILE
Joe,

Like I told you, get a set of Nuts and make another run

Good God !!! You could not have paid me enough money to pilot
your car down the mile. Great stuff, I am glad I was there to
experience all the excitement!

INSANE VIDEO !

The picture isn't from Joe's car. It from my GT2 that was driven by Todd. It still amazes me that the car wasn't damaged. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to take the wing off?!

Joe, I need a favor. When the Turbo comes home next week can you stop by Pauline's before you clean it? She hasn't paid the landscaper in over a month and I'm not about to cut 3 acres on a mower that tops out at 3mph. Seriously, I think I've seen you more shaken up after a bird crapped on your windshield than almost losing it at 220+. Either you are the coolest cat alive or Todd edited in Samuel L. Jackson as "Joey G" for the in car dramatization and witty comments. Either way... UNBELIEVABLE!!

Quote: Guys it really doesn't matter because I still had 18lbs of boost left and about 10 degrees of timing to go.(About 400 more whp):-D On top of that I had the Nasa engineers(yes the ones that built the space shuttle)on a flight and were due to arrive Saturday to make the necessary aero changes. We were also flying in a new set of Toyo tires with a specially formulated compound based solely on the asphalt sample taken from the Goliad airstrip.Yeah I know .....I'm a baller :-D. LoL
I wouldn';t doubt it at all you sick *** hahaha!!

Glad you are okay bro, SICK runs, it's a shame what happened but you are here to talk about it, all that matters! I will try and join you guy's in March, this event looks like too much fun, SICK fast car's, unreal!

Joe,

It was great meeting you and it's a shame that you guys couldn't make anymore runs. We might be heading down to the Miami mile in the Supra early next year, so maybe we'll get to meet up again. Great job of driving(and not overcorrecting), btw.

Great run and excellent control of the "surprise". I dont think I would have had anything witty to say to the timers after going through what you did.
Class act man!!

Incredible result, and more incredible that you handled yourself so well Joe. If it were me, it would have been a "brown pants" moment for sure. Great work!
