i know a little about this subject, because my father worked in the oil/gas industry for nearly 40yrs. Shell and chevron (and texaco,if they're around your area) are considered the best due to their superior additives. i don't put anything else in my car. it probably doesn't make much difference what your using if your only going to keep your car a few years, but if you plan on keeping it longer i would definately only use one of the above.

Fuel

Usually I use Shell, or Exxon, but I also buy 100 octane unleaded racing fuel from VP.

I use Exxon/Mobil 93 which I have used for years with no problems. I have also used Sunoco 93 in the past. Exxon/Mobil is everywhere here and 93 is always available.

Only BP. In Maryland it is the only one without Ethanol. Might be just snake oil but I do not believe that 93 with 10% Ethanol is the same as 93 without Ethanol.

So is 10% Ethanol not a federal requirement? I see it on any pump I go to. That's money well spent on "alternative energy."

As a side note, BP owns Arco, and as far as I know, they use the same gas

gas

I only use Techron 91, but I heard 76 is better for performance? I didn't quite believe it so I still use Chevron. Do any of you guys use the cleaner additives?

Gas

I try to use Sunoco 94 simply as that is the highest octane I find around me. Car seems to run very well on it.
