Going to Strip on Weds
presume you are all modded from the numbers people are putting out there but the best time I've EVER seen from a stock 996 turbo was 12.2 running 100 octane at sea level on a 65 degree day.
1st time at the strip and if its warm and I'd be surprised at lower than 12.9 with a stock car from what I've seen.

Yeah, brake torquing is just the ticket for consistent runs where you can concentrate on the tree.
Most folks first time out with manuals (and even good drivers) blow it at the line and do 2.1+ 60' times and ruin their runs.
It's much harder than it looks but then that's part of why it's fun.

You said that you have a roll cage, where did you get it??? Running the strip is worthless for me right now. Stock but the closest track is in PHX AZ and it is 120 down there in the day and High 80s at night. I have to wait untill winter when you can get the temp down to the 40s.

Hey man, I live in Boca Raton, been to Moroso many times (haven't run though as I am only 17, and need a parent there...BS) I wish I would have seen this post earlier and I would have met you up there, I am in West Palm Beach at my dads dealership, but took our truck. If I would have known I woulda grabbed my stepmoms SL55 AMG. O well, let me know next time you are going, I'd love to come along, hopfully then I will have a turbo of my own.
