No one ever said that paying the higher dollar amount for a Porsche does not net you a nicer interior. But to discount the ZR1 as a piece of junk is a little bit harsh especially with the full leather interior. Plus the one thing some forget is that a bone stock ZR1 or Z06 comes with a 5 year/ 100k which is unheard of on cars with this kind of performance! 10 second 1/4 miles bone stock 130 mph plus traps and a 5 year/100k warranty....wow these are great times to be a sports car enthusiast!

I have been driving a nitrous fed , stalled and heavily modified Vette for almost 3 years now and have not had one powertrain issue on a high performance car your not going to get the same reliability as a Toyota Camry! As far as reliablity your no better off buying an early 996 vs an Early C5 especially if you factor in maintenance and repair costs.

 

On another note Jamie owning both cars should tell you he is unbiased, I also have a sneaking suspicion he knows his way around a drag strip better than 90% of the people questioning him in this thread!

Porsches are awesome but anyone that owns one that can't respect the ZR1's numbers are just plain crazy. The interior is really not bad. It's a bad mo pho sports car and EVERY knows it. Whether it tempts your beauty button who cares. Respect a car that flies please.

The thread is about some guy that bought a ZR1 and thinks the magazine article he read about it in is going to drive it for him. Funny I'd be willing to bet this race never happens. He's discovered he's out classed in the driving catagory, realizes that the Porsche he's matched against will kill him and most likely won't be seen around for a while

Have not been in a ZR1, but I have lots of respect for the ZO6, so can't see why I would not respect the ZR1 even more. Great cars. And from a stock car point of view there isn't much that will walk away from a ZR1 in stock form and anything that can will cost 4-5 times more at least. But a tuned turbo is a beast. Love both, but if I can only have one, the turbo is it.

For the people asking that may have missed my post from sat.their were the hollidays first off , then it rained every day even before i made this thread , it stoped friday night ,sat were perfect running conditions,we had said for sat. i waited no show no call no nothing , sunday (yesterday) was even nicer out ... again, i make the effort to try and get a hold of this ****** ... no call back or anything.

and today its pouring again and will be off and on this whole week. Unfortunately you have a ****** bag talking smack but when you call his bluff he cowers? who knows , but i can promise you guys this , i will not let this go until he admits that hes scared or he runs , and i promise you guys it will be on video !!
