That's a good route to take...I've run that several times. Did you take the Murphy's Grade road or go up Hwy 4? I used to hang out in Murphys, Arnold, and White Pines when I was younger. It's a blast on St. Patrick's Day in Murphys. They used to paint the stripe down the road green every year.

Latrobe is a great road. I drive out that way often. It is only minutes from my house.

 

we were their in my wifes cayenne she drove so we just scared the local cows, used the new cutoff and then up penn gulch rd to the ranch never saw downtown this trip...
