Gang,
Many talks about AFR and HP verse TQ so I thought I would share a motor we were working on recently. I had posted another dyno sheet on a 3.4 Single Turbo we had built. The AFRs near 1bar were 13.1 on its worst and averaging 12.9/13 at .9 bar. We made some adjustments and modified the fuel head and dropped the AFR almost 1 point. The HP didn't move a bit, but the TQ went up 12 to the wheels. My point is we are always talking about how AFR changes power, TQ etc. This is a typical result of playing with the AFRs. Keep in mind this is still a CIS car so the mid range will still carry very low AFRs. Also keep in mind this motor was 280 HP at the crank we we started. Just thought you would enjoy the sheet.

Stephen,

Was that the dyno sheet from Bills car? He loves that 930. It is a sweet car.

Pretty impressive curves (yeah yeah I know that's not funny) there Stephen. Again, I'm still with you on the whole not squeezing too much out of the AFRs for a few more ponies. I'd settle for mid 12s and have a few less and longer lasting motor. Unless of course I was running leaded lol...

Bob, Yes that is Bills car. I swear he likes it better than his twin. He uses her for what she was built for.

Alex,
Geez, I thought it was my wife with nice curves I will take that compliment though.

LOL, I would hate to meet that car at a stoplight. How much does it weight? Like 2800 pounds? Sheesh, that must be one scary mobile.

Little less than that. That is what I use to drive on the street when Jett was born. The weight is less than 2800.. I use to consistently hit 11.8s @ 128. It was a blast. I call it Porsches hot rod.

Damn that's pretty hot. The 128 trap speed is way cool. I figure it must have been really hard to launch it
