FineProperty is infamous around these parts
I used the redline in my long gone 5sp Passat. And, there wasn't a huge difference over stock. I did shift a little more smoothly, but the notchiness was still there.

Chad, are you using the Swepco 201 or the heavier 210 oil ?

Did you have any concerns that this is a natural product vs the newer synthetic stuff ?

Swepco appears to have quite a following amongst Porsche owners and forums.....why did you pick it ?

thanks in advance

If warranty is a concern, I would only used Porsche approved ATF. Chad is not concerned about warranties with his car for obvious reasons...just my 2 cents.

You need enough extreme pressure additives to protect the ring and pinion. If the oil has too much additive the syncros don't work well. Some additives can corrode brass. It might be best to use the OEM fluid. I have heard of a lot of people with older Porsches using a mix of the standard weight and the thin Redline GL4 fluids.
