Gotta love the cold weather...
Gotta love the cold weather...
Just wanted to say I'm glad we're finally getting some cold weather here in TX. Gotta love roasting the tires in 2nd with just an upsolute chip. What a difference between 90-100 in the summer and 40-60 degrees now. Any of you physics guys out there know the correlation between temp and hp with these cars?
Gold weather for driving is great, but I always felt that warm tires are much better than cold ones.
Just remember that; it is a must for all F-1 cars to "really" warm-up their tires before every race...

the colder it is, the:
1) more efficient the engine runs, therefore, more power
2) exhaust sounds better
3) intercoolers work better
4) Xenons are bluer

Actually from a thermodynamics standpoint your car is less efficient in the colder weather - the power increase is due to more dense air that allows you to burn more fuel and hence burn rubber (although another topic on friction factors in cold and warm can now be generated) - I call it a free 25 HP when the weather changes here in New England - gas ain't cheap but the thrills are worth it!!!!!!!!!
