Bought my first Porsche today.
Quick question, what is the wind suppressing screen called? And/or where to get them that is not the dealership? The one that mounts over the rear seats, just the mesh screen. Since I have a Cab, I would like to get one. All thanks.
Congrats on the beauty! How many miles does she have. Since this is your first Porsche, I assume you are ready for the cost associated or at least prepared yourself... I have owned a Porsche nearly all my adult life and I have never owned one that was cost effective... Still love them!

What he said is the reality of an expensive car so just except it. I just got my 1st Porsche in ROctober of this year and have already found out that everything cost 2, 3, or 5 times as much as a regular car and 1 to 2 times as much as my wife's Caddy EXT. Yet it is worth every penny! I can't wait to get my 2nd!
The screen is most likely called windscreen. Sometimes for sale in the Parts for sale area or ebay.
Nice car!
Chiming in with previous poster, to roll off a stop you got to lift up the clutch til it engages before getting on the gas, otherwise really messy on takeoff.
Punch it a little bit too, medium hard is enough, then the car really comes alive and will feel absolutely magnificent and full on fantastic, enormously competent and will give you a huge smile that sits on for a good while. Trying to be too soft and easy drivingwise, these cars can feel a little cranky depending on surface etc.

Yeah, I did a lot of research on the car, and was shocked at the repair prices. I have now accepted that, and each time I drive it I love it more. The only thing that scares me is the clutch going out. I am afraid of how much that would cost to replace, OEM or aftermarket. Unfortunately, I have already had my first problem. The trunk/hood (the one over the engine) is stuck. I read others had this problem and I think I found something on Renntech. Problem is right now I can get it open.
One (Windscreen) came with my car, and I put it up a couple of times but it didn't seem to make much difference in the wind blowing around and I don't have that much hair to worry about, so I leave it in the garage. Dealerships can order them, but my guess is they cost quite a bit (like everything else).
