Trunk & Engine Bay Light Sequencing

I am having difficulty finding out what controls these? If you leave the trunk and engine bay open, do these ever go off?

Even when I close the engine bay it seems to stay on. I think the trunk does the same?

Can someone please help me test the functions of these and make sure they are going off.

They appear to be driven from the Alarm controller according to the wiring diagrams. The Trunk, Engine Bay and Glove Box lights all seem to be driven from the same place.

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure how they are controlled, but the trunk light WILL go out in time. I have a battery tender on mine and I leave the front trunk open and when I come back in to drive the car, the light is off. If you set the alarm, i believe they shut off right away.

The engine compartment is also controlled with the interior lights it seems. When you open the door, the engine compartment light comes on as well. It shuts off when the interior lights go out.

Yeah, it went off. But it took about an hour or so. I cannot close the trunk as I am doing some work on the lid.

Thanks

Here's the funkiest thing I found out by accident at a car cruise - if the glove box is open the trunk light comes on. WTF? I was standing there looking through the grill at the light thinking I'd have a dead batt when it was time to go home. Went to open the glovebox to find the manual and discovered I'd left it open earlier. Pulled the manual, closed the box, and when I went to the back I found the light OFF. Sure enough it was the glovebox that was causing it to come on apparently. Weird...
