996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

Can you upgrade the NAVI screens in 996TT's?

911/M5 is infamous around these parts
WOW GUYS!!! Those are some great looking units. I think if you get a big screen and surround it with material that matches the dashboard you can make it look as good if not better than factory.

Hrm, that screen fits there so well - makes me ponder an in car computer actually! How difficult is it to move the A/C controls and is there a DIY around? I didn't realize that NAVI moved it and had thought that guys just shuffled it because they could (lol).

The 993 looks VERY nice - I really like the C/F and want to put more into mine but not go quite as overboard as I did on my last car! Any engine shots?

Check these links for a couple of detailed installs

NOTE - There is no need to chop and cut pieces to make a fascia for the heater controls like this member did
When he moved his controls he placed them directly below the Nav unit where the storage compartment normally goes. The controls weren't designed to fit there so he had to make a fascia plate himself
If you put the controls right at the very bottom of the console (just about the heated seat controls - see pictures in my previous posts) there is no need to cut anything as the fascia part is readily available

Hope those two links help you
