997TT front-Yes or No?
These 997 front end conversions remind me of the older 911 to 993 conversions you see for sale from time to time (online). They all look kind of cheesy and raise questions regarding the quality of work, accident history, honesty of seller, etc...
I agree with the idea,"If you like do it for yourself", but plan on returning it to original before resale.
Factor in the labor cost to return to original, and the resale value of the used 997 parts in the cost of the conversion.
If you still think the price is attractive, I say go for it.

If you can afford it, and can keep the stock parts to convert back, go for it.
If they pull it off and everything lines up correctly, it will be the topic of many many discussions over a beer with friends, and thats a big part of why we have thses cars.
You only live once.

I don't like it - other than TA or other OEM (GT2) 996 body parts, I don't like putting any type of aftermarket body parts on a Porsche 911.
That said, you only have one life so do what you please, and don't worry about what someone else has to say

Spending money on any mod that removes value is madness.
You should always leave something recognisable for what it is, not try and make it look like something its definately not. Use a front from the 996 model era such as what Gasman suggests....996Gt2 or Ruf front for that model. Both worthwhile and will add value
