Looks to me like it is mostly (pun intended) for BMW and the BT module:
New features for the GW500

- Improved compatiblity with BMW iDrive 4 (CIC) on 3 series. Please note: CDC must be enabled
- Improved interworking with the BMW diagnostic computer
New features for the BTA1500

- The Gateway sends sound level information to BTA1500. Please note: This function must be activated (after the FW update) with config file and works with v1.5 BTA software
