How about just doing a custom 997 TechArt bumper for the 996. No need to go to the extreme with fenders, lights etc.
I've photoshop'd one below. What you guys think. I would be down for one of these.

I appreciate the project work although me personally, I think it would be too much work not to mention require a bit more body work than I'd like to do on a car...changing the bumpers is one thing...but strangely enough, needing to change out OEM fenders to aftermarket to be able to run 997 headlights seems a bit much imo. Just my opinion.

Btw, we custom made a 997 turn signal on the 996TA front for one of our canadian customers. thoughts on this?

NO. why would I want to make my car uglier. The 996tt headlights are possible the classiest headlights ever on a 911. I like the 997, but IMO the front end was a step back and the only 997 front end I like is the GT3.

I'm very against this idea...obviously, to each his/her own. Why would I want to make my 996 (which is a classic itself) to look like a 997? If I like the oval headlights, I can go for a 993 or 997, rather than a wannabe. I'm not a fan of putting in thousands of dollars so I can turn from a classic ride to a wannabe. I doubt you will get any compliments from any 997 owners looking at a 996 with converted oval headlights. Sorry if I offend anyone, just plainly my stupid opinions.
