A lot of people ask me that, dgussin1. Out of the box (ie, stock) I really feel the boxster handles better. There is no doubt about the power difference, but the "fun to drive" and "tossability" factor is really up there on the box. If you get a chance, try and drive both back to back and you will see.
Thats what I thought you'd say. I hear that from a lot of tt and boxster owners. Just wanted another opinion.

I would love to drive both back to back, but unfortunately I don't have either and I don't know anybody that would let me drive theirs. so for now I have to take your word for it.

Hey Dabum,

I'm located in Markham which is just north of Toronto. I like my location, it's close to all the places I hang out, as well as being 10 mintues from work (with no traffic to deal with).

Plus, it's only 20 minutes from downtown Toronto, so I'm not too far from the big city either!

Boy. I'm glad to hear someone else take the plunge and admit tha the Boxster S is a better handling machine. I too have both, (Lapis blue Boxster S and a midnight blue 996TT) Both are great cars. I got the TT thinking that I was going to get rid of the Boxster, but after driving both for a couple of weeks, I decided that I would keep the Boxster for life!

No, the Boxster S is not a #ucking HP/torque monster like the TT, but the balance and communication with the road is awesome.

I even went as far as to put PSS9s on the TT in hopes that it would rise to the occasion after 2 days at Watkins Glen and before Lime Rock. No luck.

So where am I going with this? Both cars are great. I'm looking at converting the Boxster S to a 3.6L or biturbo engine. After that, the TT might collect dust I'm sorry to say.

I love it, really. It's an R. 300hp. There is no other wagon that offers AWD, turbos, backseat legroom for adults, and a 6 speed. Chipped R's get to about 350hp, still not an RS6, but the RS6 wasn't offered in wagon or MT for the states.

The electronics are simply amazing, adjustable on the fly shocks are great. The 4C electrics send power to the rear wheels when taking off unless it senses a lot of wheel spin. Brembo 4 pot 13" brakes. 155 (limited) top speed is easy to get to, though not as easy as the 996tt. I can't rave enough about this ride...way better than any SUV, and 23 mpg with lots of WOT.
