GT2 suspension height
Can you use the GT2 suspension (struts & springs) on a regular 996tt and will it set lower? If so by how much.

Couldn't he change to cup car uprights in the front after getting rid of the front diff and drive axles, and then do the GT2 type conversion?

Actually you can... One of our other members (TXGold) has done this on a car he sold. It does require some spacers, and removing the front axles all together... You'll lose the front drive portion, but you could do it with some work, and you wouldn't have to change the uprights at all.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Actually I did it without removing any of the axles or up rights or ,etc....All you need is an adapter from MOTON to make it work. Here is my thread with a couple pics of me doing the install and write up on it...

Car handles great. I have some adjustable front and rear sway liinks. Agency power fronts and some other rear ones i forget. I set them to be pretty neutral and the car rides great and handles like its on rails. It is definitely not pushing or oversteer easily, its very neutral in my opinion. I see no reason for me as a novice to go any higher up on the suspension mods. I would do maybe bigger sway bars before new coilovers above the GT2's. I got them with very low miles on them so it was great for me.
I got like 10-11 degrees of caster in the front, better top speed handling, some conservative camber for the street, can't complain really. This is coming from H&R springs on the stock shocks, night and day difference. |
