Do you need a tune for that? any downside to going Mafless?

going Mafless would sure save a lot of money especially if you have to go through buying one every month, these MAFs are not cheap.

Then get rid of the element that is blowing the maf.... its either the air box or something not right with the tune...
Do do a blow thru is not cheap as it involves a lot of changing around... but in the end well worth it if your aiming for bigger hp....
Mafless? its another dimension period lol

There are a lot of tuning things to go along with MAFless. I had a VERY custom one-off tune by Tony @ EPL. I would not recommend it to anyone with less then 700-800rwhp because there is no real point. Best way to keep your MAF's intact is to run a stock airbox. I did all they way to 666-700rwhp.

I am still MAFless though now, but I also have a standalone computer that controls all my fuel/spark.

It started happening when i replaced the stock wastegates with the 1 Bar wastegate kit. i had the vivid racing dual snorkel airbox since before and didn't have any issues, only after replacing the wastegate kit and boosting more.

Stock air box, maf, waste gates, air filter, no issues but I may fall just below the minimum HP requested.

Sorry I am late to this.....but thought it was an interesting post.

Can I ask and confirm that the current Porsche part number is still 996.606.125.00__my car originally had the 124 MAF.....was 125 a direct replace?
Bosch number?
Looks like Vivid has a WO133-1646560?

TIA

I believe the 009 Bosch number corresponds to the original 124 OEM.

I am curious to the highest HP achieved on a stock MAF? I am planning on doing Tial 3076s when I get my car back from the motor build.

Tony, do you still run stock MAf on 3076 cars??
